WELCOME TO
FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH
We are a Southern Baptist church located in Sheridan, AR
"Our church family exists to love God, love others, and make disciples."
Our church family is first and foremost committed to loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:29-30). Secondly, we are committed to loving others as ourselves (Mark 12:31). We seek to demonstrate our love for others by following the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus. He commanded us to make disciples of all nations by sharing the Gospel, baptizing, and teaching them to obey His Word (Matthew 28:18-20). Being disciples of the Lord Jesus means we:
Abide-A person who abides is in an ongoing, ever-growing, intimate relationship with Jesus. As a result, he or she finds their identity and significance in Jesus.
Pray-Communicate with God as His Word teaches.
Worship-Honoring God in all that we think, say, and do.
Grow-We grow in obedience, grace, and knowledge according to God’s Word.
Serve-We serve the Lord, our church family, and others.
