Refuge Student Ministry

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20

Refuge Student Ministry at First Baptist Church Sheridan exists to lead students to become lifelong, devoted Christ followers growing in their relationship with God.



  • Discipleship - Students trusting God with their lives, and walking closer with Him each day.
  • Evangelism - Students reaching out to other students who do not know Jesus as savior.
  • Service - Students serving others in Christ's name.
  • Worship - Students daily exalting God with their lives.
  • Fellowship - Students going deeper in their friendships with other Christians as they grow together in Christ.

The purpose of Refuge Student Ministry leads to a threefold change in students' lives. " Students love for God leads to life change in obedience to God's Word. " Students take ownership in their relationship with God evidenced by a greater focus on God in their lives. " Students desire to know God more is witnessed in a consistent reading and studying of the Bible.

Programs


The AM Show Sunday mornings at 9:45

The AM Show is the Sunday morning youth Bible study and breakfast. The youth eat breakfast and then are spilt into different groups where they learn about being set apart to God and share with other youth their age. The AM Show is a great time of Bible study and fellowship with other students who desire to live their lives for God.

Life Groups Sunday nights at 5:30

Sunday nights at 5:30 come and join us for free food and then join a small group to discuss issues that you face. Life groups are guys and girls' small group Bible study groups where you discuss problems and issues you encounter each day and look at what the Bible has to say about these problems. Life groups are a wonderful opportunity to share life with other students.

Refuge Wednesday nights at 6:30

Refuge is the place for you. Refuge is a place where you meet with friends and grow in your relationship with God and into deeper friendships.

It is a time of awesome worship and praise music; biblical teaching that applies to your life and reaches you where you are at. Of course do not forget the fun games and fellowship. Come early and play pool, ping pong, or just hang out before everything starts at 6:30.
