Children's MinistryOur children's ministry environment, provides an exciting and fun-filled home for all of our children’s programs. Our goal is to allow kids to worship and experience God for who He is and for them to share that experience with those around them Children matter to God. Children need a Biblical foundation. Children need loving relationships. Children need age-appropriate application. Children need creativity and fun. G-Force - Experiencing God Full BlastG-Force is a Sunday morning Bible study for children in the 1st through 5th grades. Each week God's Word is presented in a fun and interactive format designed to reach kids. Dedicated leaders reach children by applying the Word to the daily lives.
AWANA MinistryAWANA stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed, (2 Timothy 2:15). This ministry is a Bible based club for boys and girls 3 years old through the fifth grade. Kids' PraiseThe Children's Choir program at FBC allows children to worship and praise Christ through music, singing, and other Biblical activities. Kids’ Praise presents musical performances each December and May for our church and community.
This choir is under the direction of Mrs. Diana Layrock. Wonderful WednesdaysWonderful Wednesday is a mid-week summer program for kids that have completed Kindergarten through the 5th grade. Children grow in Christ though fun devotions, games and crafts.
I'm a Christian Now - Discipleship Class for KidsThe Children's Ministry of First Baptist Church is committed to help each child who acknowledges Jesus Christ as their Savior to understand the importance of their decision. Because no two children are alike, we recognize the individuality of this decision by children. Children will come to a realization of their need for Jesus at different ages and depending on many factors. But once a child makes this life-changing decision we offer a four-week new Christian class designed especially for them. I'm a Christian Now will help children understand the basics of what it means to live a Christian life.
The class is led by Mrs. Fara Newkirk, Director of Children's Ministries, and is scheduled on Sunday mornings. Classes are small in size and are offered on a yearly basis. For more information on children's ministry, contact Mrs. Fara Newkirk |
